National Shiba Inu Rescue lists dogs as a courtesy. Generally, listings come from owners wishing to rehome their Shiba, independent Shiba rescuers fostering a Shiba, Shiba rescue groups, all-breed rescues or shelters. Shibas listed in courtesy listings are not cared for by National Shiba Inu Rescue. If you are interested in adopting a courtesy listed dog please contact the current owner/foster/caretaker as detailed in the courtesy listing.
All negotiations regarding the adoption will be carried out privately between you and the current caretaker. Since we cannot guarantee any stated information regarding listed Shibas, prospective owners are encouraged to obtain as much information as possible before adoption to determine if a particular dog is the right match for your particular circumstances and environment.
The volunteers of National Shiba Inu Rescue function as a liaison to bring together potential adopters and those wishing to rehome a Shiba. We also provide advice and assistance for Shiba owners when requested and provide information to assist individuals in the adoption or surrender process.
National Shiba Inu Rescue, its volunteers, and its Internet hosting provider are not responsible for the accuracy of the information in these listings. We provide listings “as-is” to help Shiba Inu in need find forever homes. As such, we rely solely on the information provided to us by the current caretaker.
Adopted Shibas are the sole responsibility of the adopting party. National Shiba Inu Rescue accepts no responsibility for any liability, injury or damages to any person or property caused by any listed animal, or any cause of action, claims, suits or demands that may arise as a result of such injury or damage.
