: New York, Astoria
Cody was purchased at 8 weeks old from a breeder in Illinois back in 2015. I drove out to get him so I got to meet his mom and dad which was awesome. He spent his first year of life in Chicago, his second year in Minneapolis and this past year in New York. I get moved around for work quite a bit! That's actually the reason I am very sadly having to give this little guy up!
Cody is 3 years old and high energy! He is a pure breed and typical Shiba Inu traits, such as high energy, incredibly smart, loves to run and play games. Rare for a Shiba, Cody is extremely friendly and loves all people and dogs. He was socialized young and consistently. He was in training classes young and we visited a dog park everyday his first year of life. Cody is house-broken, crate trained and does great in the house. When I'm gone longer then 4 hours (which is basically 5 days a week) he is crated and has a walker in the afternoon.
Cody needs a home with experienced dog owners that can handle a head-strong and sometimes stubborn dog. Cody has been on a retractable leash and given freedom to run so he will need training if you want him to walk on leash next to you and not pull. He's very playful so he will chase blowing leaves and being friendly he will run up to other dogs and people without hesitant to say hello. Cody gets walked 3 times a day but honestly could use longer or needs a house with a yard where he could run.
Cody is up to date on vaccines, neutered, current on all heart worm/flea and tick. Cody is micro chipped and I have his original papers.
