Most rescuers prefer to adopt their dogs out to someone relatively nearby. If you’re looking for a Shiba Inu to adopt, you should (1) browse the listings on this website that are closest to your location and (2) locate the regional Shiba rescue group nearest to you and submit an adoption application.
If you do not find a courtesy listed dog on this site that is a good match for you and you are not located within a one hundred mile radius of an established Shiba rescue group, please complete this form. We will send your information to a small group of Shiba Inu rescue volunteers who coordinate rescue efforts across the country. If someone knows of a dog that might be a good match for you, you will be contacted. You will most likely be asked to complete a more thorough adoption application at that time.
